The next morning, the narrator complains that he hasn't been able to sleep well. He's had a fever for the past few days, and he can't sleep. He tells everyone that he's going to be late for work tonight, so he can go home and rest. He also tells them that he and his family have been having a lot of fun lately, since they've been getting lots of visitors. He asks if anyone has been sick recently, and they all agree that it's been a busy few days. The narrator also tells us that he has a fever, and that he coughs a lot. He thanks everyone for coming to his house for his treatment, and then he asks if they have left until he gets home. Everyone agrees that they haven't left until they get home from work. He then tells them about his fight with pock-pock, and how he plans to give his support to the tennis club of his niece, who's a member of the same club as him. He says that he is counting on pock for the next match, and is grateful that he had him experience something that he wouldn't have otherwise considered
