After a long journey, the group has reached the Caribbean Sea. They're flying over the "holy land" for "maniacs" , and they're leaving their wives behind in Japan. The group asks to be seated and to fasten their seat belts. They also ask if it was the right choice to come here, and whether or not they'll be able to control their reaction to the new environment. They don't really know what to do yet, but they do know that it's "hard to believe" that this whole thing is an "inevitable accident" . They ask to be quiet, and then they ask to go to their room. When they get there, they find that the family is "all messed up," and that the only person who's been able to prepare for their arrival is the son of the old pro-fessor. The family is still waiting for the old man to return from his "obser vation" in Japan, and the group doesn't want to do anything that'll make a scar on the new woman.
