The captain and his men go down to investigate. The captain asks if the bear is a thousand years old or a golden soul beast. He thinks that the difference in their strength is too great, and he doesn't think that they're going to be able to defeat either of them. He decides to wait and see. He remembers a story about a strange beast that lived in the star-dou forest. The beast was called the emperor beast, but then the emperor died, and the forest went into a period of decline. He wonders why he hasn't seen anything like this in the story of his family's history. He goes to look for the cave where the golden soul beasts are believed to have been killed. He finds a cave, and when they enter, they find all the traces of the battle. He tells everyone to be careful, and they run off to find the cave.
