In this chapter, the young protagonist is introduced to his brother, Zizi, and his father, Zhengzhou. Zizi's father scolds his son for introducing Zizi to the wrong person. He tells him that it's better for everyone to be at ease than to introduce Zizi in a formal way. Zhengzhou, however, doesn't seem to be having any of this. He says that Zizi has gone through a lot to come home, but he hasn't bothered to stay a long time. He's just left town, and Zizi is worried that he's going to be eaten alive by his new boyfriend. He asks Zhengzhou why he feels this way, and Zhengzhou says that he just wanted to know what Zizi was up to. He also says that if Zizi were to become a teacher, he wouldn't let his son study at his school because he'd want his son to be a nerd. Unsure of what to make of his son's strange behavior, the father tells Zizi that if he had a son, the child would be at least three years old by now.
