In this short scene, we get a brief glimpse of Lin and Corin's relationship. Corin asks Lin to give him back his milk tea, which he has been drinking all morning. Lin asks if Corin is trying to "get rid of" him, and Lin replies that Corin has certainly grown "from a puppy into an wolf" . Lin is so sleepy that he can't even make it to the lecture, so he gives Corin his congee, which Corin bought for him. Lin tells Corin that he's going to find out what's up, and he asks Corin if he can have a drink of his own juice instead of the milk tea. Lin thanks Corin for giving him his drink of choice, and tells him that if he ever wants to come see him again, he can always keep him company.
