He is introduced as "Senior" and we are told that he is a member of the senior class of the Singapore Athletic Club. Senior asks if he is "gay" and the young man answers that he must be. He then asks Senior if he can kiss him. Senior replies that he cannot because he has a traumatic experience that cannot be forgotten
