About This Chapter
The narrator is on his way back to the office when he hears the announcement that the flight is ready for check-in. He's so excited that he doesn't even realize he's on the same plane as Lin-Qin and her new beau. The narrator asks if he should ring the doorbell, but he decides to just ignore the young master and let the rest of the family do their own thing. He tells the narrator that he'll be back soon, and he thanks the narrator for accompanying him to the company office to hand over the report. He then asks the narrator to go inside and have dinner with the family. He wants to see his dad, who is waiting for them, but the narrator is afraid that he has something to do and won't be able to come out for dinner. He asks her to throw him a piece of paper, but she refuses, saying that she'll have something else to do later. She tells him to take it to her father, who has been waiting for her. She then asks him to go out for a drink, and the narrator asks who the young man is.
