Aleksei, the scientist aboard the ship, is glad to see him. He asks if the other pirates have the same vaccine that he does. They do not, but the rest of the ship has been destroyed. He tells them not to worry, but to search for the pirates until he finds them. He is worried about selling the vaccine to the public, but they are not aware of its dangerous nature. They kill him, and he dies because of them. They are useful to them, he says, but he is not protecting them. The soldiers are coming, and they will kill all of them, including the two men. They think they are with Carlos. They want to know how he kills with a hammer, and who can sell it to. The only person who knows how to sell the vaccine is the king of Spain. He knows everything, and for anyone who pays for his services, he will sell.
