The next morning, Oswald tries to find his way back to the house, but is interrupted by the sound of a gunshot. He realizes that his friend is still out in the jungle, and asks Oswald to help him find him. Oswald tells him that they were chased off a highway by the murderers, and they were forced to enter the jungle. When they were attacked, Oswald and his friend held off the attackers and told him to run. That's why they got split up, he tells Oswald. They were attacked by the dead men in the front of the house. They're heartless, he says, and it's like they abandoned their humanity. He tells Oswald that he killed his wife, and that he's not going to let her be in his way again. She's all, "You killed my wife, you killed my friend" . She begs him to save Oswald, and he tells her that Oswald's leg is useless, so they have to take care of him.
