Back at the school, Dr. Manette wonders if it's the cancer that's bothering him. He's not sure, but he doesn't want to rest. He wonders if they're too used to this, and if hope will ever return. He asks Lily if she likes her long hair or short, and Lily says she does, but that she'll have to get her stuff together. Lily says they'll find a place to hide, and then they can take a look around the city. Lily wants to go with her, but she can't remember her former teacher. He was the one who expelled her from school, and he taught her to kill. Lily asks if they can bring along the other kid, who is still alive, and the two of them go off to look for their missing friend.
