The narrator tells us that this is the first time he's ever been to the garden, and that it's beautiful. He tells his sister that she's her best friend since she likes to be around people like him. He also tells her that he likes her too, even though he doesn't like her as much as she does. He says that he'll be back more often, but that he won't be as stupid as the rumors say. He's not stupid, he says, because he is just like a kid. The narrator says that if she wants to break little sister up with him, she can do so, but she can't do it anymore, because no one will pay attention to her anymore. She tells her sister to come back and find her, and she says that she can wash her clothes, cook her food, and do all the other things that the rich and powerful zong family requires. She says that the old madam of the family will be angry if he finds out about it, so she tells her to hurry back, and then she can leave the car and head back. She also says that there's a secret beach in the emperor city that the family used to come to play on when she was a little girl, and the people there probably know about it. She adds that the people will feel the same way when they hug her, because they know that she is the one who's been affected by what happened to her sister 18 years ago.
