About This Chapter
It's the end of summer vacation, and the school is holding an emergency drill to prepare the students for disasters. The principal tells the students that an earthquake is about to strike, and they need to get out of the school before it happens. He tells them to crouch under their desks and prepare themselves for falling. He also tells them that a fire is burning in the school's home-ec classroom, and that they should get out immediately. He then tells the children that there's a flower in the second-floor hallway that says, "When a suspicious person shocks huh, does that mean someone is on this floor?" . The children panic and run to the gymnasium, where they find that the principal has told them to get into the gym. They're all freaking out because they don't know what to do in an earthquake, and when the principal tells them they're safe, they freak out even more. He says that he's protecting them because he likes them, and then he asks them what they think of him.
