In this chapter, we learn the story of the murder that took place on the day of Ren's birthday. We learn that the murderer was a student named Shu-Liang, and that he had lost his cellphone on the way home from school that day. He tells us that he is looking for the lost charm and that the girl who was stabbed was trying to get it for him. He says that he would have been the one who had died had it not been for Ren. He also says that if Ren had not been stabbed, she would have still been alive. He believes that Ren was very special to him and that she was the murderer.
