The narrator tells us that he saw the guy buy the fake watch from the street vendor. The narrator says that the guy lied and gave him a fake watch. He tells the narrator that he should have been able to return the watch and get money back from the guy who gave him the fake one. He says that he thought the two young men were too old to be practical jokes and that he got hit by them the last time he saw them.
