In this chapter, we learn that Shu-Tsun mastered the art of giving care to his son, but that he did not want to be his son's father only when his mother wanted him to be. He has rented a room near the house so that he can check on his son every day. He apologizes to his mother and says that he wishes he had never been born. He says that it would have been better if he had not been born, but now that he knows she is his mother, he can put everything behind him. He tells her that she came to see him and that it made him happy, because he can finally put the past behind him and forget about his past. He asks her if it was okay to leave her family, but she says that she and her husband have signed a divorce papers. They have been seeing one another for a long time, and they have been making him the new boss of the company. She tells him that he should not tell his mother that he is in love with his boy friend, because she does not need to tell her. She says that this is because she would not be the editor she is today if it weren't for the boy friend. He means so much to her, she says, that she is happy to work with him.
