In this chapter, we meet Hiroshi's assistant, Motomachi, who has just returned from the New Year's Eve party. Hiroshi has been working as an art editor for the boys' magazine, and Hiroshi is very fond of him. He tells Motomachi that he will be returning to his old job as an assistant editor, but that he wants Hiroshi to return to the magazine's editorial department.
