After his father's death, Hirohito takes over the family business and becomes the owner of a publishing house. He also stops caring for his family. His mother, however, refuses to leave them and leaves them three children. Her father takes charge of the household, but he never takes care of the house or the child. One day, he catches a cold and has to go to the hospital. When he gets home, he finds that he has passed the entrance exam to a private school and that his father has approved of his application to the school.
