In this short scene, we learn that the narrator has just had sex with another man. This time, however, he's having sex with the narrator's own penis. He's not happy about it, but he admits that he can't bear to admit it to anyone else. The narrator tries to squelch the sex, but the other man won't listen. He tells the narrator that the story board has been late handing out the latest edition of the novel, and that he should try to get some time alone with the girl before she leaves. He also tells the girl that he'll try to make sure that she never forgets about the sex.
