In the living room, Si is crying over the "accidental contract" . She tells him that she was taught to play the piano, fencing and horseback riding by her parents. When Si's parents disappear one day, Si realizes that she no longer has a home and that she is no longer welcome in the small town where she lives. Si tells her that she spent all her money and her anger died down, but she still does not have a job. Si asks if she has her wand at her place. Si says that she almost forgot to do so, but that she will bring it to her when she is ready. Si accuses Si of making a fool of her by buying the onyx gem for her, and Si accuses him of being a "bastard" and a "supporting character." Si tells Si that they are not allowed to be too intimate with each other, and that they should move away. Si is afraid of the dark, and she tells her master that she has come to find him.
