In this chapter, we learn that the protagonist is a "witch" who falls in love with an office girl. The girl is a member of the "Modern Witch's Association" , a society of practitioners of witchcraft. The protagonist complains to her that she has no social skills, and that she is unable to sleep in a soft bed because she is a witch.
