The narrator tells the story of a thirty-year-old man who has just fallen in love with another woman. He has been sleeping with her for the past year and a half, and he has noticed that she has a headache. He decides to go to her apartment and bring her the key to his room. He tells her to take her shoes off before she goes to bed and to put her clothes on before she falls asleep. He says that if she ever drinks like that again, he will fire her.
