The story opens with a thirty-year-old gay bachelor who has just graduated from college. He's been drinking heavily for the past 30 years, but he suddenly remembers that his brother and sister-in-law aren't very good at it. He asks them if they'd like him to stay away from alcohol after he's done working for them. He tells them that he'd really like to have kids with his brother, but that he doesn't want to be a woman. He also tells them about his brother's marriage, which was short-lived, and how heartbroken he was before he got married. He says that he can understand why you're in love with your brother. But he also warns you not to get carried away, because his brother is a "bisexual" man. He can accept women, he says, and now he can get married to someone who is the opposite sex from him. This is all very confusing to him. He wants to know where he got the business card from, and where did he get it from? He asks if it was the guy he met on his last blind date, and if it's true that he won't be able to get along with him. The two of them decide to go to a "convenience store" together.
