In this short scene, Shmoop introduces us to a new character. He's called "acquain" because he's not a friend, but a "acquaint" because his friend is showing him around the festival. He tells us that there's a lot of rain on the grounds, so they won't be able to put on the fireworks tonight, but they'll still put on a fireworks show tomorrow. He also says that he'll go buy some food and cheer up at the beach, where they're going to play with the fire works.
