The next day, everyone decides to stay in a hotel for the night. Zhanggong asks Haiyue why they're going on this trip, and she tells him that it'll be good to get over his feelings for her. He tells her that he wants to cheer everyone up, and that he's going to cheer up Haiyue as well. On the way to the magic academy, Zonggong apologizes to the vice dean of the academy. He says that he was blinded by anxiety and hatred to not see how good a person he is. The vice dean invites the group to a reception, where they'll get to meet all of the students from the royal academy. They'll all be introduced to each other, and then the dean and vice dean will open a party for them all. After the party, they can all go to the hotel.
