Zhanggong, the leader of the mercenary group, tells his men that he is a great magician, and that they should trust him. He tells them that he will prove his mettle later on, and asks them to take back his magic. The leader apologizes, saying that they shouldnt have doubted his abilities. He says that he did not want them to believe that he was only a mercenary for the praise of others. He adds that being a mercenary was simple, and he didn't have to worry about paying for his meals. Unfortunately, he says, they have come across a band of robbers. He asks the leader to come and talk to him, but the leader refuses to listen to him. Instead, he tells the men that life is not always easy for everyone, and they should leave the group alone.
