He's eager to practice with his teacher, and the two of them go to the sack array, which is a place where students can practice dodging attacks. The boss asks if he's made any great progress in the past few months, and if he thinks he'll be able to get into one of the elite magic schools in the coming year. The teacher tells him that he can get into the school if the exam is on escape ability, but if it's on attacking ability, he won't get into a school. He also tells the boss that his teacher said he'd be back in two days, so the exam preparation will be easier if he doesn't come back. He says he can help him prepare for the entrance exam to the elite royal intermediate magic school, but that he't want him to take it like everyone else. He tells the teacher that he has a friend who's a viscount, and he asked the friend to recommend that his son be admitted to the royal intermediate school. The viscount says that he will pay for the tuition for his son to attend the school, and that he loves magic very much, but his ability isn't good enough to be a good mage.
