About This Chapter
At the beginning of the chapter, the grandfather asks his grandson to take it slow. He's also going to pick up his son, who's in grade eleven. The grandfather tells his grandson that he's going to the school to pick him up, and the grandfather coughs and coughs. He tells the grandfather not to look like a "mother of a teenager" at all, because he'll be getting smacked around by the other students. He also tells the grandpa that the school has a sale on some of its textbooks, which means the grandfather can buy them for only 499 yuan, which is less than the cost of one of the textbooks. The grandpa is worried that his son will be beaten up by the students, but the grandfather reassures him that he won't be. He then asks the grandfather's aunt if she's eavesdropping on her son's conversations on the phone. The aunt tells him to dry his hair first, because she'll catch a cold if she doesn't. She also tells him that the teacher, who she calls "Mochuan" , is a boring person, and that she wants to learn more from him. The auntie then asks if the mom is there, and she tells her that she is. She then tells the auntie to call her son back home, because his parents are coming soon, and he should remember to keep in touch by phone.
