The scene opens with a soliloquy by Cai Ming. He tells Cai Ming that he is envious of her fan club and that she is also beautiful. Cai Ming tells him that they should study hard so that they can create a solid future for themselves. He also tells him about the contract that Cai Ming has signed with the soul capturer. He gives Cai Ming a folding fan and tells him to take it with him to the rehearsal because he cannot beat Cai Ming's sword with the fan. The scene ends with Cai Ming asking Cai Ming why it is raining so much. He says that it is because Cai Ming is treating him too well.
