About This Chapter
In this chapter, the protagonist is introduced to the protagonist's friend, the class rep. The class rep asks the protagonist to borrow a reference book from him. The reference book is written in the style of a survival guide, and the protagonist wonders why the book is so poorly written. The protagonist explains that he and the other students are close brothers, and that he is afraid that one of them will cause him trouble first, and then he will be misunderstood. He asks the class to not get too close to him, as he is not wearing glasses. He is also afraid of boys' play, which is forbidden in class, because it is too dangerous. He begs the class not to call him, and to give him back his homework notebook. He tells the class that his heart beats are beating too fast, and he almost gets crushed to death by his own weight.
