The narrator wakes up in the middle of the night to find that his boss, Hayato, has woken him up. He tells the narrator that he's going to find out what his favorite position is in the morning. The narrator says that everything Hayato buys to eat is things that he likes to eat, and he feels like this "happi ness" is going to be the only thing that keeps him awake. He says that he fell asleep before he could make his decision last night, and that this is something that he can't just put off, so he just eats whatever he needs to eat. He asks Hayato if he has made up his mind about his job yet, and Hayato says he hasn't yet, but that it's best to start fresh and think about things in simple terms.
