"A fake marriage" is the title of this chapter's epigraph. It's a reference to a famous line from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, in which Romeo asks Juliet what her favorite position is in life. Juliet replies that she'd like to be a housewife, but she can't imagine what it would be like to have a child. Hayato, on the other hand, seems to think that he'd be a good dad, too. The two of them head off to the next town, where they're sure to find a hot spring. When they arrive at the spa, they find that Hayato is already there. He's been taking a bath, and Juliet is happy to see him. She tells Hayato that she likes to take care of him, too, because she wants to pet cats and dogs. She's glad to find that the spa has makeup for her, and she's so happy that they've found a place where Hayato can give her a good massage. She asks Hayato why he's such a good giver of massages, and he says that he used to give them to his grandfather, who was a very good massage therapist. He says that his grandfather's hands are so warm that he didn't realize how good he was at it until he started doing it for his grandfather. He also wants to give Hayato something back, so he squeezes his hand to make him feel better.
