The next morning, the Governess arrives at the office to find that her husband has gone to the office. The Governess tells her husband that she has come to visit him and that she will be arriving shortly. She asks him if he would like to have dinner with her and he says that he has come all the way to see her. He asks her if she would like him to forgive her and she says that she is willing to do so.
