The scene opens with a conversation between Anjie and Ming. Anjie tells Ming that he is afraid that she will not want him after she sees him. He tells her that he will be happy in the world as long as he has her by his side. He says that he loves Ming so much that he wants to hold her in his affections forever. He asks Ming to put on his shirt so that they do not "ruin the carpet" of his shirt. Ming asks why Ming and Anjie are acting like teenagers in love. Ming replies that he does not want anyone to see them acting like this. He then asks Anjie to take Ming's shirt and bring it back to Ming. Ming is still confused as to what is going on, but he says he is perfectly fine with Anjie looking after him. Ming then asks why he should trust him, and he says that it is essential for a partner to trust another. Ming says that she should call him when she establishes trust in him.
