The narrator wonders if it's possible for someone to be shy if they accidentally bump into a girl. He says that if someone is shy, it must be the girl. If the girl is flirting with him, he says, she's going to hurt him. He wonders if the girl has a deeper meaning, and he wonders if she is being "narcissistic." He wonders how ordinary people can be so shy when they're approached like this, and wonders if senior is bad at communication with others.
