In this chapter, we learn that the master of the Divine Palace realm is trying to kill someone who has not yet reached the "innate realm" . We learn that he is a member of the same sect as Dr. Manette and that he once claimed to be one of the "four spirit swords" , but that he has fallen out of favor with his superiors. He now holds the white tiger sword, which is considered the most powerful of the four swords, and he tells us that he used to be considered a "senior wushu" in the sect, but now he is just an initiate.
