Back at the brandon, Oswald is reading a book when Mr. Brown comes in. He tells Oswald to get over to the woman's place and be nice to her. Oswald says he'll be okay, but that he's going to go back to his room and play with his brother. Oswald asks if he can order something from the market, and Mr. brown says he can't, because he'd have to sign a work contract. He also tells Oswald that if he doesn't like what he hears from Oswald, then Oswald can stay at the market. Oswald tells dawn wood that he has refused his sister's request to join the company at the coffee shop. He's just trying to protect his sister.
