In this chapter, we're introduced to a new character, who we'll refer to as "Tommo" because he's a little older than the rest of the gang. Tommo explains that he wants to play the night-slayer game with his sister, but he doesn't know how to do it. He's worried that if he and Tommo fight, they'll get into a fight with the other players, which will make it harder for Tommo to get revenge on Tome. He also worries that if they fight, he'll lose to her, which would be bad for his reputation as a gamer. So, Tommo decides that he needs to figure out a way to get back at Tome, even if it means risking his reputation in the process.
