In this short scene, we get a brief description of the fight that's about to take place in the woods. We're told that it's going to be a "battle of the soul" . This guy is a "freak" , and he's got a lot of physical skills, but he also has a ton of "magic" thrown in for good measure. We learn that this guy is using a spear as an attack, which drains his focus. He's also using magic to cancel out his physical attacks, which is a big problem for a guy like him. He can't even think of a way to beat this guy in one shot. He doesn't know what else to do, so he hangs on for dear life.
