In this chapter, we get a brief look at what's going down between Maule and Maule's son. Maule is still talking, but he's not talking about anything. He's talking about the frontier, which is kind of cool, since Maule doesn't really want to talk about anything else. But then he realizes that Maule has a new move up his sleeve, and he can't wait to get it on him. He thinks that this is going to be the end of him, and that he'll have to fight alone if he wants to beat Maule.
