In this chapter, we learn that Bing has returned to the company to help out his brother, who is making the business grow again. Bing is worried about what will happen to him if he keeps looking at Bing, but he also knows that he is in love with her. He tells the vice president that he has come back to support his brother. The vice president asks if Bing is using alcohol to "test" her. Bing says that if Bing wanted to test her, he would not need to go through all of this trouble.
