The chapter opens with Fang Yin-yin and his new roommate, Cai Ling-ying, discussing the fact that they're now living in Hong Kong. They're happy to be rid of the bad habits of the city, like being bullied by the "big dog" or being drenched in the rain. They can eat all the food they want, and they don't need to worry about being bullied or drenched by "the big dog" anymore. They just need to get up and go to work. The two of them are late for work, but they manage to get the chant down so they can get out of the house. They finally get out, but it's late again. They have to wait for their boss to come back, but he doesn't come back. He tells them that he's going to take the girl to the secretary's department to learn how to do secretarial work. He's not sure what to do with her, since he hasn't worked before. The boss tells him that the girl is a college student
