The next morning, the Governess wakes up to find herself in the middle of a steamy conversation with Nelly. The Governess tells Nelly that she's worried about her body, and that it's up to her to decide whether or not she wants to have sex with her. She's also worried about Nelly's feelings, and she tells her that if she really doesn't want sex, she'll let her go back to her room. She also tells Nelly to keep the sex a secret from Nelly, so that she won't have to explain it to her mother when she gets home. Nelly, of course, isn't having any of this. She wants to go out for a walk, but she can't bear the thought of being alone with her master. She starts to worry about her relationship with the Campbell family, and her feelings of being in love with them are getting worse. She asks Nelly to calm down and take a deep breathe.
