The maid, Eve, returns to the house and finds that the dog, nino, has been taken care of. She asks the dog if he is unhappy with his master, and the dog responds that he is. He then asks the maid if she wants to know what has happened to the master. The maid replies that she is very fond of the master and would do anything for him. The dog then asks Eve if she is also saved by the master, asking if she was also saved. Eve replies that the master gave her this life, and that she understands how important the master is to her. She also understands the feeling that he wants to monopolize her, but she does not want to upset the maid because of her.
