The young master and his two bodyguards discuss the young man, who they think must be from a major family. The bodyguards look like "kid's housedogs" , the kind that would pick on "men and women" . The young man says that they shouldn't worry about the bodyguards, since they're "nothing with him". The bodyguard tells the young master that he's from abroad and wants to participate in an examination of a deity clan. He's not familiar with the area yet, but he'd like to learn more about it. The old master says that random cultivators are not accepted into the deity clan, because they have to advance through one of the "major families" before they can get into the clan. The teacher and the bodyguard go to the hotel to stay for the night, and the old master tells the teacher that they'll have to stay on the street for the rest of the night. The elixir is so good, the old man says, that he still has a bunch of it. He says that some of the followers of big families don't have enough energy to cultivate their martial art for 30 years, so they need the elixir to keep them going.
