Every five years, academy admissions season begins. mama wheeler tells us that she's going to apply to her son for a place at the magic academy. She says that she doesn't want her kids to keep copying school rules when they're older, so she wants them to go to a different academy instead. The teacher of the tian-shen sect, however, is clueless about the possibility that the academy will shut down if no one applies for the place. He's been busy training the students on how to use their weapons and talismans. They don't seem to understand why they haven't been working on their homework. They're not lazy, they say, and they've been making talismans to use when they go out into the real world. The reason they didn't come in for homework is because they were working on making weapons. They say that they need two guards to protect them when they get out of the classroom, so they need to make sure that they can fuse with each other so that their strength can outrank the teacher's.
