The next day, Caio-an arrives at the manor to see if the fish have grown. He finds that they have sold all of their fish, and that they are no longer doing business with the manor. Caio scolds the butler for chasing people away when they want to, and for not knowing how to do the job properly. He also criticizes Caio for being involved with the young master of his former life, whom he accuses of being a bully.
