Dr. Rivers is so sad that he doesn't want to eat fish anymore. He's so depressed that he can't even think about what he's going to do with his life now that the fish market has closed. He can only think about how much money he'll have to spend on food. He doesn' t even know where the fish have gone. The fish market is closed, and everyone is trying to get their hands on some of the fish that were caught that morning. Rivers says that he ate some fish from other people, but that it was the fish from the market that was "bad" . Rivers realizes that this is just a misunderstanding, and he decides to take a small fish that was caught by someone else and sell it for fifty taels.
