In class 2, the father tells his son that he hasn't seen his daughter in a few days. He's relieved that she's okay, and he's even more relieved when he learns that her father has made her a special lunch. The father tells the boy that he has become the best student in the world, and that he wants to thank him for making him such a nice lunch. He also tells him that he'll be glad to have the chicken leg that taozi gave him. The boy is all, "I love you" , and the father says, "Why are you doing that to me?" . He says that he doesn't want taozi to get too close to him, because it's a waste of his time to accept food from other people. He tells her that she can hide from him, but she can't hide from her father, who's the one who attacked her. He thinks that the father is treating him like a stranger, which means that he probably knows that he shouldn't apologize for trivial things like that. The dad tells his daughter that he just wants her to be happy and safe. He wants her and his other children to be able to do whatever they want with their lives.
