As the chapter opens, the protagonist is a student at Shaanxi High School. He is the president of a taekwondo team, and he has just defeated a girl in a sparring match. He tells the protagonist that he is tired from the sparring match, and that he would like to talk about it the next day. The protagonist, however, is not interested in talking about the fight. He wants to know what is wrong with him. He asks the protagonist to introduce him to his family.
