About This Chapter
Sonezaki tells the other students that he has decided to hold them hostage. He says that he will barricade himself in the room until they agree to stop the "nonsense" of the situation. He tells them that he is happy that they are trying to protect him, but that he does not want them to "do one wrong move" . He asks them if they think they are doing wrong, and they all agree that it is. They also agree that they would like to retract their decision to expel the two students. They are off for the weekend, and the next day will be the foundation day of the school. Sonozaki says he will leave it to the students to decide what to do. He also says that they should not worry about what will happen if they do not stop the situation before it gets out of hand. He gives them a bottle of water to drink, saying that he cannot believe that they ignored the fact that they were in the same hotel. He then asks them what they would do if they all got expelled. They all say they would buy curry ingredients to make the situation more exciting, but he says that is not what they need right now. They have already taken action, he says, and it is too late for excitement.
